Changing the flywheel

Just another day in the garage. Started changing the flywheel and tested if the Ducati 1098 fuel tank would fit the Ducati Superbike 999 frame tank holders.. it did :)

Ducati Frame back and brake discs som WSBK

Got the Ducati 999 Superbike frame back from paint and also got a delivery of 2 sets of Ten Kate SBK brake discs.

Purchased a slipper

So, since the frame is getting color i went on ebay searching for a slipper clutch.. trying to find a nice one for a good price.. So i stumbled on a Hinson slipper that looked like it was upp for the job on the Ducati project. Read some reviews and found out that Suter makes this clutch.. nice.. complete kit to, with plates and all for 800 US.. done deal... Seems like a nice one.

Got my new red and fast ignition cables today.

Also started working on the Ducati Hypermotard wiring harness so i can remove unwanted cables etc.

Got the new wheels today.. 16.5 PVM magnesium =)

Frame finished

So the frame is finnished!! Now the part where i try to put the bike together.. maby some color to the frame first.. ?

More bits

Got some more stuff this week.
Forks, Öhlins 999R rear shock, and a bunch of small bits from my local Ducati dealer.. I hope the frame will be ready soon so i can start putting the part together.
Today will be spent on removing unused cables and connectors from the electrical harness.

Frame parts arrive

Finally got the frame parts, so this weekend i will drop by my friend Hans so he can help me cut and weld the frame. Finally we can get the road on the show.. no.. show on the road.. to much beer..  ;)

Also, i might be able to get a set of magnesium wheels for the build, 16,5 så i can get some serious rubber down..

New stuff

Got the light flywheel and the display, harness and stuff.=)
Missing a few parts in the delivery but i have another package incomming so i guess the rest is in that package.. :/

Frame

Got the frame today. =)
Also got a bunch of things from my friend slash local Ducati dealer that let me go grab stuff from his dungeon =)
Exhaust pipes, bolts, tripple tree, oil lines etc..

Took some pics, the 749 suspension link and the start of something beutifull....

START

So. I got this frame from a 999S.. what to do, what to do. Hmmm. How about putting a air cooled engine in that frame.. Bu still, it's (the frame) so heavy, aha, Kaemna has got a cool kit to solve that.. hmmmm. ok, lets go.

So I got the frame 999S
Then ebay is got in the house some how.

Going to try and make the exhaust like the ktm rc8.

And then ebay got me to buy some more stuff

A Ducati store near by let me go threw there basement and i got more parts..

Well.. thats where i am now.. got most parts, but still missing a lot, and i am not going to wait till next summer. Lets se where i am in a month or two...
